Sunday’s second place finisher was Sandy McDonald, who crossed the finish line at a time of 45:50. Her time was also the fastest time in the women’s category, earning McDonald the Phoenix Trophy as well.The race’s third place finisher was Richard Wood, who completed the event with a time of 46:07.It’s a busy upcoming week for the Bike Club and its members, as Tuesday, May 1 is the first Duathlon of the season.- Advertisement -The event will feature two distances for participants to choose from. The first involves a 1 km run, 8 km bike ride and wraps up with another 1 km run. The second, more challenging selection involves a 2 km run, 10 km bike ride then another 2 km run.Tuesday’s Duathlon is the first-of-five within a series of races, and anyone looking to participate just requires a membership with the Blizzard Bike Club. Memberships cost $40.Wednesday, April 2 the club will assemble not for a race, but for the Club’s Annual General Meeting and Elections, which will be held at the Northern Lights College at 7 p.m. All Club members are encouraged to attend the AGM.Advertisementlast_img
