first_imgPostdoctoral position is for three years, with an optional fourthyear. Start date between August 12, 2021 and October 1,2021. Approximately 75% effort will be in the research lab, and25% will involve teaching-related training and activities. Scholarwill be co-mentored by a core engineering faculty member and apartnering clinician. Research areas include Biomedical ImagingSciences, Regenerative and Immune Engineering, Genome and EpigenomeEngineering, Molecular and Cellular Systems Biology, CardiovascularDisease Prevention and Treatment, Computational Medicine, CancerEngineering, and Systems Neuroscience and Neuroengineering. Fortheir training in instructional approaches and their teachinginternships, fellows will be guided and mentored by experiencedSTEM faculty from Morgan State and Coppin State University, twoHistorically Black Universities (HBCUs) in Baltimore City.Must have a background or interest in biomedical engineering andtheir applications and have received a PhD or MD/PhD inengineering, computer science, biophysics, chemistry,molecular/cellular physiology, neuroscience or genetics within thepast two years. MD degree may also qualify if having a previousdegree in engineering. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanentresident and commit full-time effort to the program for threeyears. Successful applicant must have an expressed interest inteaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
